George Floyd protest sustained a broken collar bone, broken ribs and a collapsed lung from the horrific incident. The horse bolted after protesters threw stones, water bottles and even a bike – causing the mounted officer to collide with traffic lights and fall heavily onto the tarmac.She is still receiving treatment in hospital and it’s thought that she could be off duty for up to four months while she recuperates, according to an announcement from the Metropolitan Police Federation.Federation Chairman Ken Marsh described the officer thrown from her horse as “a hero”.Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Mr Marsh said: “She's stable – she has some quite nasty injuries which she sustained.
