Four out of five people have been “impressed” by the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic, a poll revealed tonight. The survey of 2,013 voters found they overwhelmingly backed the health service as the crisis gripped the country.
Some 68% were impressed with their own friends and family as the nation fought Covid-19. Sixty-three per cent of those quizzed were impressed with local businesses and 53% with neighbours and their local community.
The study, carried out after the second national lockdown began earlier this month, found more than three out of five people agreed that “despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we will still find ways to share the true spirit of Christmas with friends, family, and neighbours this year”.
