It will premiere at a later date

The eagerly-anticipated Friends reunion special will not be debuting in May as previously planned.

The coronavirus pandemic has pressured the world to the confines of their home as a preventive measure to not just save oneself but the ones around them as well.  Due to the pandemic, important entertainment events have either been delayed or even cancelled! Whether it be Olympics 2020 or even the MET Gala 2020, nothing has been able to break through the virus. Initially, the Friends stars were supposed to shoot for the reunion special at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California on March 23-24. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the reunion has officially been put on hold because of the COVID-19 scare.

LOS ANGELES – The "Friends" reunion won't be here for us as soon as expected.

It's the ultimate irony: after massive, longterm efforts to bring the six huge stars of Friends together finally paid off...

The “Friends” cast will be there for you (like they’ve been there before) but later rather than sooner, as their long-in-the-works reunion has been delayed amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
