Furloughed workers may return part-time in the next few days as the Chancellor looks to end the scheme, it has been reported.
More than six million people are currently receiving furlough payment due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is said to be costing our economy around £8 billion.
Business secretary Alok Sharma and Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak have reportedly spoken to groups in the industry and it is now believed the government will announce a move away from the scheme as soon as Tuesday.
