An eight-year-old Galway boy is cycling a marathon to raise money for frontline healthcare workers, while staying inside his 2km permitted radius for exercise.
Dylan Moran from Tuam set himself a target of €250 but he has already raised over €6,500 so far. This morning, relatives, friends and neighbours gathered at the Moran family home - together but apart - to cheer Dylan on.
Dylan is a second-class pupil at Sylane National School in Tuam. During the Covid-19 lockdown he told his parents he wanted to do something to help frontline workers at University Hospital Galway.
Declan and Deirdre Moran say they could not be prouder of their son. The family are keen cyclists and Dylan is joined by his father Declan on the 42km cycle.
