Gender-neutral toilets could be 'new normal' in post-coronavirus lockdown world

Separate public toilets could be banned for men and women in a post- coronavirus world, the British Toilet Association has claimed.

Britain is slowly emerging from lockdown as Covid-19 restrictions are being eased across the world. As we move on, there has been a lot of speculation about what life could look like post-lockdown.

The British Toilet Association has said it’s advising companies and councils on shared toilets, and it plans to "revolutionise" the process.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, the BTA’s Managing Director, Raymond Martin said solutions range from foot-operated flushes and self-closing seats.
