George Floyd.The rally began at 4 p.m. at the Olympic Cauldron at Jack Poole Plaza with speakers and a moment of silence for the victims of racial violence.As of 5 p.m., Vancouver police estimated the crowd to be between 5,000 and 10,000 people at its peak.The crowd began to thin around 7:30 p.m., and police said there were no issues or arrests at the main event.However, witnesses tell Global News police took two people into custody after a confrontation in the nearby streets as a group marched away from the rally after its conclusion.
