Police have slammed those complaining that officers are 'ignoring incidents' during the coronavirus lockdown. Officers in Salford have sent a message to their critics today, saying they are 'doing their best' under difficult circumstances.
The inspector for Salford North West - which includes Little Hulton, Walkden, Worsley, Ellenbrook and Boothstown - says the force has been inundated with complaints on social media in recent weeks.
Residents have been claiming that 'officers are never in their areas', 'police are ignoring/driving past incidents', and that 'nothing is being done about speeding', according to Inspector Katie Allen.
