Gogglebox star Amy Tapper says dad beat coronavirus thanks to major weight loss

Gogglebox family the Tappers, believe their six-stone weight-loss may have saved their lives after they all contracted coronavirus.

The Tappers, made up of dad Jonathan and Mum Nikki and children Joshua and Amy, were all diagnosed with Covid-19, but have thankfully all now recovered from the virus.

Jonathan, 52, was hardest hit by the potentially fatal disease, and was left fighting for his life in hospital. The family, who were hugely popular during their time on Gogglebox have credited their recoveries to their major weight loss last year.

Amy, 20, who starred on Celebs Go Dating, said: "If we hadn't lost the six stone last year when we did, could this have been a different outcome for us?
