Govt revises discharge rules for Covid-19 patients: All you need to know

The Union Health Ministry has revised discharge rules for patients suffering from coronavirus infecion. According to the policy, coronavirus infected patients developing severe illness will have to test negative through RT-PCR test before being discharged by a hospital.

Moderate cases of COVID-19 and pre-symptomatic, mild and very mild cases need not undergo tests before being discharged after resolution of symptoms.

The health ministry shared a three-tier discharge policy with guidelines and instructions to be followed before, during, and after the discharge of coronvirus patients.
