Greece reopens to British tourists after coronavirus lockdown

Greece has reopened to UK holidaymakers following months of closure. The popular holiday destination reopened its borders on July 1, but a ban on direct flights from Britain was extended.

But air travel between the two countries resumed today after restrictions were finally lifted. Holidaymakers in Greece must complete an online form 24 hours before arrival.

This will generate a QR code that must be shown in the Greek airport - and potentially before boarding. They may also be asked to undergo a coronavirus test, in which case authorities will require you to isolate until test results are given.

There were reports last week that the country could be put back into lockdown - since more than 100 tourists have tested positive since borders
