'Hero' dog trained to deliver food shop to vulnerable neighbour during coronavirus

A dog named Sundance is doing his part to make sure his vulnerable neighbour doesn't need to leave the house during the coronavirus pandemic by helping out with her food shop.

Karen Evelth's neighbour Renee Hellman has COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and other medical conditions which leave her vulnerable to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Wanting to help Renee stay safe, Karen got creative and trained her dog, also known as Sunny, to be the missing link. Every morning, the doggo makes the short journey along a narrow path between the two homes in Colorado to pick up Renee's shopping list, which he carries in his mouth to return to Karen.
