Lee Mead has tested positive for coronavirus just a few days before Christmas. The Holby City star will now be forced to spend the festive period alone and will isolate for 10 days after contracting the highly contagious virus.

The 39-year-old will sadly miss spending Christmas with his beloved daughter Betsy, 10, who he shares with ex-wife Denise Van Outen.

Lee will also be torn apart from his girlfriend Issy Szumniak for the holidays. The soap star had planned to spend Christmas day with Betsy and Issy, along with her son Alfie, but sadly, Lee will now spend the day alone in self-isolation.
