NEW DELHI: The office of the principal scientific advisor to the government on Tuesday released a manual on home-made masks, which general public can use to contain the spread of covid-19.
While common surgical masks can be used only once, home-made ones can be re-used after cleaning with ingredients available at home.
People living in densely populated areas across India have been recommended to use such masks. “The proposed guide is meant to provide a simple outline of best practices to make, use and reuse masks to enable NGOs and individuals to self-create such masks and accelerate widespread adoption of masks across India," said the manual.
