A Covid-19 outbreak has killed two-thirds of the residents of one care home, it is reported. Manager Diane Vale told the Guardian the outbreak at The Old Hall at Halton Holegate, near Spilsby, Lincolnshire, was "horrendous" and had claimed the lives of eighteen of its 27 residents.
The paper reports that the 18 residents died in the run-up to Christmas, with most the deceased aged in their 90s. The youngest to die was 79-years-old, the eldest was 99.
This is understood to be the single most devastating outbreak in a care home in England the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. What is your view?
