coronavirus. A total of 30 pensioners at West Park Care Home in Leslie, near Glenrothes, have tested positive for the virus after a major outbreak was identified.
A further 21 staff have also been confirmed as having caught the bug causing care home bosses to temporarily suspend new admissions.
Visits by loved ones are also currently cancelled while NHS health chiefs have stepped in to help staff reduce transmission of the virus.
A spokesperson for the health board said: “NHS Fife is aware of a cluster of confirmed COVID-19 cases associated with West Park Care Home in Leslie.“A total of 30 residents have tested positive for the virus.
