Almost a million people in England and Wales are currently receiving emergency food parcels to help them access essential items such as food and toiletries during the coronavirus outbreak.
The boxes are being delivered weekly to those who suffer from severe health conditions, such as respiratory infections, and cannot leave their homes.
The packages contain essential food and household items such as pasta, fruit, tinned goods and biscuits, and have been designed for those who need to self-isolate at home for 12 weeks but have no support network of family or friends to help them.
Those on the scheme also qualify for priority access to supermarket delivery slots and additional care support. Who qualifies for a free food parcel?
