Coronation Street star Ian Bartholomew, 65, has been embroiled in a dramatic storyline playing a domestic abuser in the ITV soap.The actor has since revealed his children refuse to watch him play such a troubled character.Speaking with ITV's Lorraine Kelly, 60, today, the Coronation Street star admitted he "doesn't blame" his children for opting out of watching the soap.Ian said: “They didn’t want to watch, they saw me lock Yasmeen into the box, the ‘magic box’ and they said, ‘No, can’t watch Dad doing that.'"So they haven’t watched since then and I can’t blame them.
It must be quite difficult for them to watch their dad being unpleasant the whole time.”The soap star shares two children, aged 15 and 13, with wife theatre director Loveday.
