Iceland's £5 meal deals for families sparks furious 'unhealthy junk food' row

It can be incredibly challenging to make ends meet during these unprecedented times, especially when it comes to feeding your family.

But thankfully there are a number of Facebook groups, like Feeding a family on £1 a day where parents share their top tips. Among them was a mum who uploaded a picture of Iceland's Feed the family for a fiver meal plan which lays out a week's worth of meals, costing £5 or less to put together.

But a number of people slammed the food giant for its unhealthy meal options, with the most common complaint being that too many dinners included chips.

Talking of the meal plan, Iceland wrote: "Whether you’re shopping on a budget, or eating the same meals week in, week out, our meal plan is here to inspire families
