Idris Elba has slammed claims that he’s been paid to say he has contracted coronavirus as he continues to recover from the illness.The Luther star revealed he had tested positive for the virus two weeks ago, before his wife Sabrina also contracted Covid-19.The 47-year-old has now taken to Instagram to hit out at claims that he was paid to say he has coronavirus after managing to acquire a test so quickly when others haven’t been able to get tested.

Speaking about testing the illness, he said: “It shouldn’t be about whether the rich or poor gets it. Everyone should be able to get a test, for sure.
