Several NHL players on Thursday spoke after the league suspended games for both Friday and Saturday. Players say they requested the postponements and the move was supported by the league.
Vegas Golden Knights’ Ryan Reaves said that looking around the room there’s a “lot of white athletes” and he couldn’t be prouder for the players “to take a stand and say ‘we see the problem too'” and the statement is “very powerful” and will last.
Reaves also spoke about him, Dallas Stars’ Tyler Seguin and Jason Dickinson, and the Knights’ Robin Lehner kneeling during their Aug.
