JK Rowling has taken to Twitter for a dose of nostalgia, looking back on an old favourite spot of hers where she penned a good deal of Harry Potter.

Joanne, 54, is one of the world's most successful authors thanks to the universally beloved series of novels about a boy wizard and his struggle against evil.

She first thought up the idea in the early nineties, and hasn't looked back since. The first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, landed in book stores in 1997, and since then series has gone on to dominate best seller lists and the box office with its film adaptations.
