Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart has opened up on the pain of “not being wanted” by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. Hart played his last Premier League game for City at the end of the 2015-16 season having been dropped when Guardiola arrived at the Etihad in the summer.

England keeper Hart’s career has never really got going again despite loan spells with Torino and West Ham before a permanent City departure to Burnley in 2018.

And the 33-year-old admits not getting a game under Guardiola hurt him as he opened up on how it affected his mental health.
