The supply chain has been disrupted and labourers were initially reluctant to turn up. However, the situation now has improved and Harsh Mariwala, founder and chairman of Marico, hopes it to get better in the coming days.
Edited excerpts of an interview: What kind of impact has covid-19 had on Marico’s operations? Post announcement of the lockdown, in the first six-seven days, it (the supply chain) was bad.
It has, however, improved (now). There was a lot of pressure from labourers and their families not wanting to attend the factory.
