Jurgen Klopp feared the Premier League trophy would be ripped from Liverpool's hands by the coronavirus pandemic. The Kop boss admitted he was concerned the season would be voided when the virus took hold of the country back in March.
But the Reds will get the chance to move just three points from their first title in 30 years when they face neighbours Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow.
Klopp said: “I didn't think when we went to lockdown 'Oh my god, that is our season, we are so close', because it was not important in that moment.“I became worried in the moment when people started talking about 'null and void' this season because I was like 'Wow'.“And I really felt it physically.
