BENGALURU : The Karnataka government on Tuesday made an appeal to teachers, startups and others to contribute content for a proposed YouTube channel, to engage students who have been forced to remain indoors due to the nationwide lockdown.
The lockdown that was implemented to help contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, saw most state governments cancel school exams and announce early summer holidays for children.
S.Suresh Kumar, Karnataka's primary and secondary education minister said the YouTube channel is likely to be launched in 7-10 days. "The channel aims to give the best possible content to students that ignites their creative passion," the minister said in a statement.
