PHILADELPHIA - A gunman accused of killing five innocent people during a shooting spree through the streets of Philadelphia appeared before a judge Wednesday morning.Kimbrady Carriker, 40, was arraigned by video conference on 10 sets of charges for 10 victims, including those who were murdered, wounded by gunfire and injured during the chaos.Officials say Carriker was taken into custody after he was cornered by officers during the deadly Kingsessing shooting. He was wearing a bulletproof vest, and armed with an AR-style rifle and a handgun.Another handgun, along with ammunition that matched shell casings found at the scene, were recovered during a search of the suspect's home, officials announced during a press conference Wednesday.The DA's office also said a handwritten will dated June 23 was also found at Carriker's home.

STONE HARBOR, N.J. - Locals and beachgoers alike at one of New Jersey's most popular shore towns are furious over a new paid parking spots that some say is nothing more than a cash grab by the city. Even on slow summer nights on Stone Harbor's main drag finding a parking spot is a challenge, but you find a coveted spot you'd better have your wallet and smartphone handy. Newly installed green signs now dot parts of 96th street prompting drivers to use the contactless ParkMobile app to pay for parking. The sign even provides a QR code and a text option. The seemingly easier way to pay for parking has been anything but simple for locals and visitors, some of whom have been on the receiving end of a 1600 percent increase in parking tickets. "It's an attitude, it's bad business, it's bad policy," said Pam Salamone, who works part-time at a Stone Harbor boutique.

PHILADELPHIA - As investigators work to determine what caused a lone gunman to go on a shooting rampage for several blocks in Philadelphia, loved ones of the victims gathered for a citywide prayer service."Our community is suffering from trauma from senseless gun violence that we’re seeing day in and day out," said Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson at the Salt and Light Church in Kingsessing. Police say on Monday night 40-year-old Kimbrady Carriker was wearing a ballistic vest and armed with an AR-style rifle and a handgun when he shot and killed five people and wounded five others.The murderous rampage began near the intersection of 56th Street and Chester Avenue and continued onto neighboring streets just blocks away from where Wednesday's prayer vigil was held.Lashyd Merritt and Ralph Moralis were among five shot and killed in a mass shooting in Philadelphia. Lashyd Merritt, 20, was among the victims gunned down during the seemingly random spray of gunfire.

PHILADELPHIA - The brother of a young man who was killed in a mass shooting in Philadelphia said his brother had just stepped outside to go to the store when he was fatally shot."Just walked out of the house, I guess [the shooter] was right there and shot him twice," Dominque Evans said. "It's just sad, this is stuff you see on TV, not real life, that's why I'm so shocked."Lashyd Merritt was one of five people who were gunned down Monday night when police say a lone gunman armed with a rifle and a handgun began his murderous rampage at 56th and Chester. The 40-year-old shooter, identified by police sources as Kimbrady Carriker, is accused of shooting "aimlessly" at both occupied vehicles and people on the street.

BENSALEM, Pa. - Police say they have successfully identified a man they claimed was wreaking havoc on the streets of one Bucks County township.Investigators in Bensalem took to social media Monday to ask for the public's help in identifying him.Witnesses told police a young man was driving dangerously near the intersection of Spruce and Hazel Avenue in Trevose Monday afternoon.The motorcyclist was also caught running stop signs repeatedly in Bensalem Township, according to authorities.MORE HEADLINES:He could be seen riding his motorcycle without a helmet at least one occasion in a photo posted by police.Tuesday, police shared an update on their investigation saying they had identified the rider and that he would be receiving traffic violations. 

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities have identified five people who were killed when they say a gunman opened fire through the streets of a Philadelphia neighborhood Monday evening. Police say the barrage of gunfire began around 8:30 p.m. when officers were flagged down at the intersection of 56th and Chester streets in Kingsessing. Responding officers discovered multiple gunshot victims and spent shell casings at that scene and continued to hear gunfire coming from nearby on Frazier Street. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw says officers caught up with the gunman and were able to corner him in a back alley on the 1600 block of Frazier Street and take him into custody.Police say charges are pending against the 40-year-old male suspect.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Three young girls have come forward, and a man has been charged after a disturbing ordeal in Atlantic City over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.Rojer Gomez, 29, of Philadelphia, is accused of inappropriately touching several women and girls in the ocean at Hampshire Avenue beach on Sunday.Three of the victims, ages 15 and 16, told police that the suspect would go underwater when waves hit and touch their lower bodies.MORE HEADLINES:Several witnesses also reported the inappropriate touching to police.Gomez was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.

PHILADELPHIA - A night of terror in Philadelphia became even more violent when three people were struck by gunfire in a separate shooting on the eve of July 4.Three victims were found injured when police responded to the 5600 block of Chew Street just before 10 p.m. Monday.A 32-year-old man was shot in the leg; a 19-year-old man shot in the lower body; and 31-year-old man shot in the face.MORE HEADLINES:All three were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

She opened FORK over two decades ago helping to make Old City a restaurant destination. "I fell in love with this industry when I was a teenager, but it took me 25 years to realize that a restaurant is where I felt a true sense of belonging," said Yin, who owns both Fork and High Street. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, a restaurant in Center City, was named 'Outstanding restaurant.
