STONE HARBOR, N.J. - Locals and beachgoers alike at one of New Jersey's most popular shore towns are furious over a new paid parking spots that some say is nothing more than a cash grab by the city.

Even on slow summer nights on Stone Harbor's main drag finding a parking spot is a challenge, but you find a coveted spot you'd better have your wallet and smartphone handy.

Newly installed green signs now dot parts of 96th street prompting drivers to use the contactless ParkMobile app to pay for parking.

The sign even provides a QR code and a text option. The seemingly easier way to pay for parking has been anything but simple for locals and visitors, some of whom have been on the receiving end of a 1600 percent increase in parking tickets. "It's an attitude, it's bad business, it's bad policy," said Pam Salamone, who works part-time at a Stone Harbor boutique.

Officials: One victim killed in North Wildwood house fire

NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ. - North Wildwood fire crews responded to a house fire that caused one fatality on Thursday afternoon.Authorities say fire crews responded to a reported structure fire at 2203 New York Avenue at 4:16 p.m., and police officers on the scene informed them of a potential victim trapped inside. Firefighters on scene described the structure as a 1 ½ story residence with smoke and fire showing. LOS ANGELES - SkyFOX was over a bizarre setup in the San Fernando Valley Friday evening. A makeshift RV park was spotted in a Los Angeles resident's backyard.The makeshift park just off Hubbard Street in Sylmar was packed with at least 15 RVs on the resident's property. Neighbors complain the "tenants" from the RV park are dumping human waste onto the street at night. It is unknown how long the homeowner has been hosting this many vehicles.

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Nearly two dozen kids and teens are facing charges after authorities in Delaware County say a 15-year-old was beaten up and robbed of his Yeezy slides while a crowd watched and filmed.Officers from the Haverford Township Police Department were called by a neighbor to the 100 block of Glen Arbor Road Monday night for a reported assault.
