Kim Jong-un has made his first public appearance for 20 days following rumours of his death, South Korean media reports. The North Korean dictator, 36, is reported to have he attended a completion ceremony at a fertiliser factory in Sunchon, a city in South Pyongan Province, according to Yonhap.

The reports originated in North Korean state media and have not been independently verified. Sister Kim Yo Jong also attended and no pictures of the visit - thought to be a ribbon-cutting ceremony- have been released.

The report added people at the factory "broke into thunderous cheers of hurrah" when he appeared. His health has been the source of much speculation in recent days.
