Coronavirus has been responsible for 138 deaths in Lanarkshire - including 90 last week.New figures released by the National Records of Scotland (NRS) today (Wednesday, April 15) have revealed deaths in the county to be the third-highest in Scotland, behind only Lothian (148) and Greater Glasgow and Clyde (315).The number of people dying from COVID-19 in Lanarkshire has risen exponentially over the past few weeks from eight between March 23 and 29 to 90 last week (April 6 to 12).Lanarkshire has also seen the third-highest rate of COVID-19 related deaths at 2.1 for every 10,000 residents.
