Large crowds queuing at Covid-19 vaccination centres

Hundreds of people are reported to be queuing at vaccine centres around the country on the first day over-40s are eligible for a booster.

The Health Service Executive has said there is a waiting time of three hours at Citywest, where there are reports of significant tailbacks on the N7.

Hundreds are also reported to be queuing at Greystones, where five units of Wicklow Fire service attended a road traffic incident directly across from the vaccination centre.

Gardaí and two ambulances were also at the scene and the crash has now been cleared. Gardaí say that no one was seriously injured in the incident, and one person has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
