The number of towns and cities in England where Covid rates are rising is creeping up - amid warnings over "lockdown fatigue".
Latest Public Health England data reveals week-on-week rises in infections in 69 of the country's 315 local authority areas.
This is despite a huge drop in new cases nationally, with the number of people testing positive for Covid-19 falling by more than 15 per cent in the past week.
Today less than 9,985 new cases were confirmed, less than a sixth of the daily totals at the peak in January.
