Terrifying footage has shown a leopard prowling around a school hallway before attacking a man inside. The incident took place at the DSB International School in the Indian city of Rishikesh.

The country’s 1.3billion population have been placed on a strict lockdown to try to limit the spread of coronavirus, leaving the school empty for the big cat to stroll around.

A chilling video shows forestry officials running down the corridor seconds before the creature charges into sight. It skids across the floor before disappearing into a room.

As it vanishes, the officials at the end of the corridor can be seen blocking the exit with some sort of net in the hope of catching it.
