Line of Duty may not re-start filming until 2021 after series six halted

Impatient Line of Duty fans are set to face a very long wait until the highly anticipated sixth series hits our screens. The high-paced police drama was due to make a return in September.

But the coronavirus outbreak halted filming four weeks in - and plunged writers into chaos. There are currently no clear guidelines for when they will be able to get the cameras rolling again.

But now producer Jed Mercurio has conceded there is a good chance they won't be back on set this year.
