Search and rescue workers personal six-wheel drive Pinzgauer military utility vehicle (Grand County Sheriffs Office) A group of Arizona residents and their dog have a search and rescue worker’s personal six-wheel drive military utility vehicle to thank for rescuing them from a snowy Utah trail.According to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office in Moab, Utah, the group accessed the Thompson Canyon/Polar Mesa trail at about 4,300 feet up while it was raining and snowing. Their vehicles got stuck in the mud as they tried to get up the trail. The sheriff’s office said one of the men called his wife in Arizona and asked her to call for help, but the group still continued up the trail by "winching the lead vehicle forward, with the other vehicles following in its path.""They eventually got stuck in three feet of deep snow … and were unable to move," the sheriff’s office said.READ MORE: Bullfrogs for dinner? SHERMAN, Texas - Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin has dropped his $100 million dollar defamation lawsuit against Marriott and a hotel employee.Irvin's attorney Levi McCathern filed a notice of dismissal in US District Court on Monday, court records show.It is not clear if dropping the lawsuit means both sides have reached a settlement.Irvin filed the lawsuit last month after a Phoenix hotel employee reported misconduct against him, which later led to him be taken off NFL Network coverage leading up to the Super Bowl. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Michael Irvin pulled from Super Bowl coverage after woman’s complaintIn a news conference last Wednesday the ex-Cowboy passionately defended himself, denying any wrongdoing and comparing the accusations to a modern lynching. In a court filing Friday, Marriott said Irvin made unwelcome sexual advances toward a female employee. The documents say on Feb. 5 at the Renaissance Phoenix Hotel, Irvin "appeared to be visibly intoxicated," and in conversation with the female staffer, asked a lewd question about intercourse with a Black man.Marriott went to say another employee walked over to Irvin after the victim walked away, and that "After Irvin finished leering at the Victim and turned back to Employee 1, he said aloud ‘she bad,’ ‘she bad…’" followed by a sexual remark. He then "slapped himself in the face three times, saying ‘keep it together Mike.’"Irvin’s attorney, Levi McCathern, said Friday that the allegations were "hogwash" and not supported by witnesses.Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin claims he did nothing wrong as he faces accusations of misconduct by an Arizona hotel employee from an incident during Super Bowl week.

Brave Escape: Kidnapped woman's year-long nightmare ends at South Jersey gas station
BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. - What began as an innocent act of kindness became one woman's fight for her life across the country in New Jersey's Burlington County.New Jersey State police say 57-year-old James Parillo met the victim in New Mexico last February when she agreed to drive him to Arizona. The suspect and victim then entered into a month-long relationship, which ended when he assaulted her in California."During their time together, the suspect allegedly took away the woman’s phone, confiscated and utilized her debit cards, and isolated her from her family," police said. The pair ended up renting a room at a house in New Gretna, New Jersey, where police say the woman was kidnapped, beaten and choked by the suspect. On February 7, the woman made her escape, running bare foot in 40-degree weather to a nearby gas station.MORE HEADLINES:A gas station attendant was sitting outside on break when she heard people screaming, and running around the corner."He was screaming you don't wanna do this, and then she got up to me, and she said I've been kidnapped, call 911," Jammie Garthaus said. The woman then ran inside and locked the deadbolt, an escape plan she told police she devised during a prior visit."She was saying that he choked her. She had like a red mark around her throat," Garthaus said.
