Show bosses are said to be deeply worried about the risks of filming the planned summer 2020 series in Majorca amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
If insurance companies refuse to cover the hit reality romance show, the financial cost of starting the show then being forced to cancel would be too high to risk.
As the coronavirus pandemic shows no sign of easing up – and with Spain being one of the worst affected countries in the world – experts fear the reality show won’t be able to qualify for insurance if filmed abroad and with cast and crew requiring international travel to make the series work.
