Madonna has paid tribute to her former co-star Mark Blum after he died of coronavirus complications. The 61-year-old pop icon shared a heartfelt homage to her fellow Desperately Seeking Susan star after he passed away aged 69.

Madonna called Mark a ‘remarkable human’ while sharing several stills of them in the classic ’80s comedy, before warning people that coronavirus is ‘no joke’.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘I Want to Acknowledge the Passing of a remarkable human, fellow actor and friend Mark Blum, who succumbed to Coronavirus. ‘This is really tragic and my heart goes out to him, his family and his loved ones.’ ‘I remember him as funny, warm, loving .and professional when we made Desperately Seeking Susan in 1985!!’ The Like A Virgin
