A man accused of ramming into a police station and setting the road alight may have been angry over a coronavirus fine. Reports say police are probing whether a man accused over the incident at Edmonton Police Station may have 'snapped' after being threatened with a £10,000 fine.
Onlookers watched in horror as a man tried and failed to ram through the doors of the station, then hopped out and began pouring out flammable liquid from a container.
The road was then set ablaze outside the police station in north London. Witnesses can be heard shouting in footage of the scene as a police car pulls up and officers run out to tackle the man at a bus stop.
