Mark Wright was overcome with emotion as he admitted to missing his grandad Eddie on his radio show.The 33 year old former The Only Way Is Essex struggled to fight back tears as he praised NHS workers across the country for their efforts fighting the coronavirus.

Speaking on his Heart radio show on Thursday night, Mark read out emotional messages to medical staff and frontline workers sent in from his listeners ahead of the weekly Clap For Carers tribute.

He then became emotional as one listener paid tribute to their grandfather, Ronnie, who had worked as a paramedic for more than 30 years.

Reading out the message he said: “'Please give a shout-out to my Grandad Ronny who has been a paramedic for 30 years and at 80 years of age, he wanted.
