Mass brawl at Greenock pub that stayed open after virus shutdown caught on video

Dramatic video footage has emerged of a mass brawl outside a Greenock pub which stayed open in defiance of Government guidance.

Trouble broke out at Cheers in the Inverclyde town's West Stewart Street. The pub was said to have been packed with punters despite government advice to close amid the pandemic.

We reported on Saturday how police were called to reports of an assault at the venue. A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: "Police attended a report of an assault having taken place at a licensed premises in West Stewart Street, Greenock, around 6pm on Saturday, 21 March."A man received minor injuries and a 50-year-old man has been arrested."Enquiries are ongoing."It comes as it was announced on Sunday that police will use public
