Sinn Féin Leader Mary Lou McDonald has said the Government's plan to reopen the economy "must include an absolute assurance that while public health advice prevents workers from going to work and prevents businesses from operating that income supports will continue".
During Leaders' Questions, Ms McDonald said the Taoiseach's comments during yesterday's Oireachtas Committee meeting, "failed to give a concrete assurance that income supports won't be cut during this emergency".
She told Taoiseach Micheál Martin that his " lack of clarity is causing great anxiety for people who have seen their incomes collapse through no fault of their own".
