Nova Scotia proposes mandatory registry for continuing care assistants

More than two years after a recommendation from experts, Nova Scotia has tabled a bill that would require continuing care assistants to register to work in the province. As Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, the health minister says the registry will create indispensable workforce planning data, but a union representing continuing care assistants questions how much good it will do while wages and working conditions are poor.
