Minister for Justice Helen McEntee has said that she has tested positive for Covid-19. In a tweet this morning, Ms McEntee said she was recently tested and has received a positive result for the coronavirus.
She added that "in line with our HSE guidance I am isolating. I am continuing to carry out my duties by working remotely including attending Cabinet".
Ms McEntee announced in early December that she was pregnant and is due her baby in May. Today Ms McEntee addressed this and said that the information the Health Service Executive has shows that pregnant women or their babies are not at a higher risk if they get Covid-19.
