Buses across Greater Manchester will come to a stop at 11am for a minutes silence in memory of drivers and staff who have fallen victim to coronavirus.

The national event has been organised by the union Unite. Stagecoach Greater Manchester said drivers would pull their buses over where safe to do so to observe the tribute.

They wrote on Twitter: "Please join us in a one minute silence at 11am today.
