A mum who was hospitalised 6-years-ago with Guillain-Barré Syndrome has been left “dumbstruck” after discovering a fake coronavirus Facebook post used a photo of her in hospital.

Jennifer Bone, 44, was shocked after a friend messaged her to say she had seen a picture of her from six years ago circulating social media.

The picture is of Jennifer in an NHS hospital recovering from a flare up of extremely rare Guillain-Barré Syndrome. But the image had been used alongside a post about coronavirus, and includes a picture of a young boy.

The fake Facebook post claims the young child is her son, but it isn’t, and features the kid asking for people to “send prayers” to his mum.
