Mum with PTSD 'denied essential mental health services' because she is 'too pretty'

A mum who lives with PTSD was forced to seek private healthcare after she was told that she was ‘too pretty’ for appropriate mental health services on the NHS.

Jade Rowlands had made numerous visits to her local GP since the age of 18 as her mental wellbeing was at risk of boiling over.

The 31-year-old was diagnosed with anxiety and depression on the first visit to her doctor, reports Wales Online. But after she was referred to a mental health support team, she felt that something was missed by her GP, but she couldn’t quite figure out what.
