My Chemical Romance might be releasing some new tunes to get us through our quarantine boredom. The band, who reformed last year, left fans devastated earlier this month when they postponed their Japan tour and pulled out of Download festival.

But it looks like MCR – made up of Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero and Ray Toro – have got something up their musical sleeves to apologise for the recent disappointment.

Frontman Gerard recently registered two new songs on BMI Repertoire, the website musicians registers songs on to claim royalties.

The songs Emily and Still Alive were registered earlier this week, according to a Reddit sleuth. Former MCR drummer Bob Bryar is a co-author on both tracks, meaning they are possibly unreleased songs
