New Health Passport Ireland app to help manage Covid-19 testing

A pilot of a new app and digital platform has launched which aims to make it easier for businesses and individuals to manage Covid-19 testing.

Health Passport Ireland has been developed by Roqu Group. The company said its system can link testing to an app that can be used to show whether a person has had a recent negative result.

Roqu said its app will primarily work with the current HSE testing regime, but is also "future-proofed" to ensure it is compatible with any future tests that might come on stream.

That includes potential fast turnaround antigen testing, which in some cases promises results in 15 minutes. Such testing is not currently used by the health system here, as there are questions about its accuracy when compared to
