Barcelona, held a trial last month to see what the future could look like for music events amid the pandemic.The event, named Prima-CoV, trialled whether masks and testing for Covid-19 could potentially allow the live events industry to open up in future.

Primavera Sound, the Hospital Germans Trias and the Fight AIDS and Infectious Diseases Foundation had 1,000 people attend an event in a 1,600 capacity venue.

Of the group, 463 attended the concert while 496 were placed into a control group with no access to the venue. All participants in the trial took a same-day coronavirus antigen test and a follow-up test eight days later, which saw no positive results among the 463 people who attended the gig and two positives in the control group.The.
