New Netflix scam that you need to be aware of to make sure you're not fooled

Netflix has been the saviour for many people in lockdown with it's movie and boxset selection - including hits like Tiger King.

Recent stats show that Google searches for Netflix jumped up 142 per cent as the coronavirus crisis took hold across the world, reports The Express.

And with so many people looking to use the service this has been grasped by scammers as an opportunity to con people as new research has revealed an explosion in cybercrime directed at the streaming giant.

Cyber security firm BrandShield has warned that internet thieves are increasingly targeting users of streaming sites. Scams flagged by the security company fake websites to trick people into thinking they're buying a Netflix subscription.
